So this is how it is to fall in love
It is to be at sea.
Ebbing words rise and fall,
crash and pay homage to shores,
but they know nothing of undercurrents.
They never reach down deep enough.
The tide roars, the foam sprays
But where the sun is speechless,
the water is warm at my feet and ankles,
Softly leading me into the deep of darker hues
where a calm blue mirrors the stars.
The hand that leads to safety is
a boy's quiet gaze (charmed
as if he's looking at sunshine in a box),
his shy smile that sings
a way a love letter never could.
I tell you a story:
While the stars began their faint twinkling,
a man drawled about floating.
The girl who heard and said
"Love is a sea plunging into another sea",
never thought she becomes one with the ocean.
In Medieval Philosophy there are two ways of approaching God:
Positively: When you call God a rock, a fortress, the father, the saviour, Good, Justice and,
Negatively: When you realize all comprehension fail at the face of God. You cannot say anything at all.
